Deploy FOLIO R1-2025 (Library Management System) with Docker + VuFind on Ubuntu
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are looking for an experienced DevOps or Full Stack Developer to install and configure the complete FOLIO R1-2025 platform on a dedicated Ubuntu 22.04 server (access provided). The goal is to replace a previous Morning Glory installation and set up a modern and production-ready instance using Docker.
Project Requirements:
• We currently have PDF documentation from a Morning Glory setup, but we need a fresh and updated deployment for FOLIO R1-2025.
• The installation must include:
• Okapi backend and all relevant modules (mod-users, mod-login, mod-permissions, mod-authtoken, mod-inventory, mod-data-import, mod-circulation, etc.).
• Stripes frontend built and accessible via public IP.
• PostgreSQL, Kafka, Zookeeper, Elasticsearch properly configured.
• Tenant creation (diku) and creation of a superuser.
• VuFind discovery layer installed and integrated with FOLIO backend.
• A step-by-step installation guide (preferably in Markdown or PDF) must be provided, documenting every step taken in case we need to replicate or update the setup in the future.
What We Provide:
• PDF documentation of our previous setup based on Morning Glory.
• A clean Ubuntu 22.04 server (IP and SSH access provided after project start).
• Domain/subdomain ready for public deployment.
• Access to FOLIO repositories and GitHub modules.
Expected Deliverables:
• A fully working FOLIO R1-2025 instance (backend + frontend).
• VuFind discovery layer installed and tested.
• Administrative access to FOLIO (via diku_admin).
• A clear and tested installation guide with all dependencies and steps.
