Connecting a Java project as a jetty server to a website acting as a Client via Socket.IO to pass a string

I'm looking for someone who connect a Java project to a website via the use of one of Socket.IO's Java extensions (https://trinopoty.github.io/socket.io-server-java/ , makes use of a jetty server) All I need the connection to do is pass a string to the website and then have the passed string displayed on the website and will live update when more strings are passed to the site. The functionality of the Java to obtain certain data and the Website are working, but the connection code on isn't both sides isn't working at all so I need work done to get that working.
