Build a simple Web App for a training using Java / Ruby On Rails
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
PLEASE READ THE REQUIREMENTS AND THE DELIVERABLE CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING
Please don't bid if you are not experienced in Java / Ruby On Rails.
I have a requirement from one of my clients to build a demo app for training.
* Build a simple web app with up to 16 insecure coding bad practices.
* Examples of will be shared with references to publicly available code snippets or open-source projects.
* You must refer to these examples to build the app.
* You must be experienced in JAVA, or Ruby On Rails. Pick the language of your expertise to build this app.
* The app must have at least two types of user roles (i.e. admin and standard) and must support authentication, user registration, and password reset functionality.
* You can build anything simple such as a simple school app, bank app, expense tracking app etc.
Alternatively, you may modify any publicly available open-source app to introduce those bugs.
The following deliverables are expected:
* Provide two versions of the app. One with the bugs and the other must be the fixed version.
* Provide details of fixes applied. Either comment on those details in the fixed version or provide the details in a separate file.
* Deploy both the buggy and fixed app version in a docker container. Provide instructions on how to run those apps within containers
* Also, provide instructions on deploying and running those apps independent of containers.
Note that this is just a demo app for training purposes. You are not expected to build something complex from scratch and expect to charge a lot. This is a low-budget project; enough sample codes are publicly available to create a simple app using publicly available bug examples to demonstrate those bugs.
Time is critical; if you are assigned the project, a maximum of 1 week will be the delivery period. If you do a great job on this project, you will have a lineup of similar projects in the future.
