Project Overview:
This project aims to establish a robust and seamless bidirectional data integration between our existing Distributor Management System (DMS) and Tally (ERP). The objective is to ensure real-time or near real-time synchronization of critical business data between the two systems, improving operational efficiency, data accuracy, and decision-making.
Project Objectives:
1. Enable two-way data flow between DMS and Tally for key business functions.
2. Automate the synchronization of invoices, master data, collections, bills, and stock updates.
3. Eliminate manual data entry and reduce reconciliation efforts.
4. Ensure data integrity, traceability, and consistency across both systems.
Scope of Integration:
1. Invoices:
• Flow sales orders from DMS to Tally to auto-generate invoices.
• Push finalized invoice data from Tally back to DMS for financial reconciliation and reporting.
2. Master Data:
• Sync master data such as customers/outlets, products/SKUs, pricing, and taxation rules between both systems.
• Ensure that new or updated masters in one system reflect accurately in the other.
3. Collections:
• Capture daily collections entered in Tally and sync with DMS for centralized monitoring.
• Reconcile payment status and outstanding amounts across platforms.
4. Bills and Outstanding:
• Push billing and due amount details from Tally to DMS.
• Keep payment and credit status aligned for accurate visibility.
5. Stock Data:
• Update stock availability, goods movement (inward/outward), and returns from Tally to DMS.
• Enable DMS to reflect real-time inventory positions for order planning.
6. Error Handling and Logs:
• Maintain logs for data flow activities and handle failures with retry logic and alerting.
