Backend Software Engineer for Contract remote flexible hours

Need a skilled Backend Software Engineer, specifically experienced with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, OpenFeign, Hystrix, Kafka, Jenkins, and GraphQL. This is a remote contract position requiring flexibility in working hours, with a focus on early mornings or evenings PST timezone. Position: Backend Software Engineer (Contract Role)
Location: Remote
Time Zone: PST (Pacific Standard Time)

Key Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle API development using GraphQL to support complex data manipulation requirements
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration
- Write and maintain high-quality, secure, and scalable code
- Regularly test and troubleshoot applications

Ideal Candidate:
- Proficient in Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, OpenFeign, Hystrix, Kafka, Jenkins, and GraphQL
- Proven experience in developing Restful and GraphQL APIs.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, git and Jenkins is a plus
- Proficient in Git commands and Jenkins.
- Comfortable working with IntelliJ IDE.
- Great troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot for efficient coding.

Working Hours:

- Flexible in timing, willing to work weekends if necessary.
- Must be available for at least 2-3 hours every day.
- Preferred working hours: 8 AM - 12 Noon or 5 PM - 9 PM PST.

- Comfortable working on a remote machine.
- Ability to turn on the camera for Zoom meetings.
