Backend Engineer for Golang-based Logistics Platform
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
About the Role
We’re hiring a Backend Engineer who will own the end-to-end design and development of databases powering our logistics platform built on Golang-based microservices. You will architect, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient database systems that support integrations with leading courier APIs such as Delhivery, Bluedart, XpressBees, and others.
This role requires deep experience in both data modeling and hands-on development across relational and NoSQL databases, along with an understanding of distributed systems and scalable backend services.
Responsibilities
Design robust, scalable database schemas for multiple microservices handling shipping, tracking, pickups, order creation, and courier API integrations.
Develop and implement database access layers, migrations, stored procedures (if needed), and ORM layers in Go-based services.
Optimize data storage and access for speed, consistency, and scalability.
Define and enforce best practices for data versioning, indexing, partitioning, and backup strategies.
Collaborate with backend and DevOps engineers to integrate databases seamlessly into CI/CD workflows.
Ensure data consistency and handle eventual consistency concerns across services.
Create documentation for schema designs, data flow diagrams, and integration logic with courier services.
Implement observability and monitoring for database performance and failures.
