About the Project:
The HS AI App is a healthcare-focused application that utilizes AI and OCR technology to analyze product ingredients, cross-referencing them with the user’s health restrictions. As a Backend Developer, your primary responsibility will be building and optimizing APIs, managing databases, and ensuring robust data processing to deliver accurate results in real-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain efficient, scalable backend APIs using Node.js to support AI/OCR-based ingredient analysis and prescription matching.
- Implement data processing pipelines to handle OCR outputs and integrate AI models for ingredient analysis.
- Design and manage databases (SQL/NoSQL) that securely store user data, doctor’s prescriptions, and ingredient data.
- Ensure secure data transfer and storage with user privacy and data protection in mind.
- Work closely with the frontend and AI/ML teams to support seamless integration and functionality.
- Optimize backend processes for fast and reliable API responses, minimizing latency.
- Monitor server health, handle troubleshooting, and optimize database queries.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Node.js, Express, and RESTful API development.
- Experience with database management systems, both SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
- Familiarity with integrating AI/ML models and OCR technologies within backend systems.
- Knowledge of data encryption and security best practices for handling sensitive health information.
- Proficiency with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with healthcare applications or managing sensitive health data.
- Knowledge of GraphQL and other modern API frameworks.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization using Docker.
