Aws lambda step function automation enhancement

I am seeking an intermediate Java programmer with experience in AWS Lambda and Step Functions to enhance my automation process. The project requires performance optimization, specifically in the areas of speed and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java programming and AWS Lambda, as well as experience in optimizing step functions. Additionally, experience with error handling and troubleshooting is preferred. The project is expected to be completed within a reasonable timeframe and within budget.


Need to refactor an existing automation, which is invoking a Lambda to send out emails/reports built with HTML template. Need a solution to refactor the existing functionality by creating another Lambda to build the HTML template and invoke asynchronously to send out report to the receivers. 



Actual Problem - Since there is huge date to build and send out via reports and the Lambda has a limitation of timing out for 15 minutes and the current solution is taking more than the permitted time, we need to refactor the solution to address the timeout issue.
Technology used - Java 8, HTML5, AWS Lambda, SNS, Step functions.
