Android Distraction Blocker & Analyticso
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
I need an Android-only app that stops the endless scroll on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, while giving users a live view of exactly how long they spend on each of those platforms. The core idea is simple: whenever the user activates Focus Mode inside the app, vertical scrolling, shorts, reels or any other auto-play feed in the three selected social media apps must be completely blocked until the timer ends or the user explicitly unlocks it with a PIN.
Real-time tracking is essential. The moment any of the three apps comes to the foreground, a counter should start and update on a small overlay or notification, then roll straight into a dashboard that shows current session length, total time today and historical charts. No scheduled daily or weekly batches—everything updates instantly.
Please implement with standard Android tools (Kotlin or Java, Android SDK, AccessibilityService and UsageStatsManager for detection, Room/SQLite for local storage, MPAndroidChart or a similar lightweight library for the graphs) and keep battery usage low. The solution must comply with Google Play policy regarding accessibility and data privacy.
Deliverables:
• Signed, installable APK for testing
• Full commented source code in Git
• Brief setup/documentation file
• A one-page test plan demonstrating:
– scrolling/shorts blocked on all short video apps Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, tiktock or others too,
– analytics panel updating in real time (<3-second delay),
– battery impact under 5 % over a 4-hour test.
Once these points are met and verified on Android 11-14 devices, the project will be considered complete.
