Need to know what this is
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
A Japanese dinner plate marked Kaysons Fine China Japan “Golden Rhapsody” 1961 on back which my research has come up only as a Standard dinner plate. It’s a complete mystery to me.
The front is a beautiful possibly hand painted or embellished dusk or dawn ocean shore scene in the Impasto style with jagged rocks on either side white water breakers and two seagulls.
There is an artists scribbled painted signature which I can not decipher followed by the numbers 89.
