Japanese poetry translation

I have just completed a poetry book centered around Haiku — the Japanese classical poetic form. The book is written in English, with occasional use of Japanese characters, mostly within the 90 selected classical poems. All the haiku are brief — as per the nature of the form — but presented in three aligned formats. The kanji and hiragana lines are accompanied by English translations that aim to preserve the mood, nuance, and structure of the original texts.

The English translation is not intended to be poetic or literary, but rather faithful to the original in terms of imagery, tone, rhythm, and semantic clarity. It aims to reflect the haiku’s intent and nuance without embellishment or interpretation. I am not asking you to translate the kanji text, but rather to approve the translation made, and if needed, to suggest its improvement.

To facilitate this review, I have compiled all relevant content for these 90 poems into a six-page document. This includes the original Japanese text (kanji), its transcription in hiragana, and the corresponding English translation — exactly as it appears in the current version of the book. The document is formatted clearly to support a focused and efficient comparison across the three lines of each haiku.
