Japanese-English Interpreter for Technical Meetings
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I'm seeking a skilled consecutive interpreter for an upcoming customer meeting. The meeting is set for wednesday 12th of March at 13h00 in Shinjuku City, near Shin-Okubo Station. The duration is expected to be 2 hours max.
The interpreter must be proficient in both English and Japanese, able to translate seamlessly between the two languages. The meeting will focus on product introduction, explanation, and specifications within the manufacturing sector. While prior experience in manufacturing and/or the flooring industry is not a strict requirement, it would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as a consecutive interpreter during the meeting
- Utilize technical vocabulary and context provided in advance
- Assist with introduction and understanding of product specifications
Prior to the meeting, I will provide the technical information to allow time for research on relevant vocabulary. I will also give a brief context of the meeting, including my relationship with the customer and the reason for the meeting.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in English and Japanese
- Skilled in consecutive interpretation
- Familiarity with the manufacturing sector (beneficial but not required)
- Able to translate technical vocabulary
- Experience in interpreting during product specifications and contract negotiations
