Online Japanese Teacher and Course Editor for African Program

Job ID: 40143492

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

The pilot online Japanese programme for adult learners in Uganda goes live in March 2026, and all lessons will follow the Japan Foundation’s Irodori curriculum. Before launch I need a teacher who can first review my draft materials, flag gaps or cultural nuances I may have missed, and suggest practical improvements.

Once the content is polished, I would like you to serve as the “opening staff” featured in the promotional material (now in production); a friendly face who can briefly introduce the class concept in short recorded clips or screenshots. From March onward the same person will then teach the live Zoom lessons—small groups of motivated Ugandan adults studying from home.

Essential background
• Teaching Japanese to non-native speakers
• Familiarity with the Irodori curriculum (not absolutely necessary)
• Experience with online teaching platforms such as Zoom

Timeline and flow
Material review can start as soon as you are available, and my schedule is flexible enough to accommodate a gradual, no-rush approach up to the March launch. We will set milestones together and agree on a payment structure that feels fair to us both.

Core deliverables
1. Feedback on Irodori-based lessons that I have created
2. Photo and experience for promotional use
3. Live online classes from March 2026, including light reporting on attendance and learner progress

If this mix of curriculum guidance, promotional participation, and eventual teaching sounds like a good fit, please contact me. I’m excited to build this course with the right partner.
