jQuery 3.7 Upgrade for VB.NET
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I need to move a VB.NET web application off jQuery 1.10.4 and onto the current 3.7.4 release while keeping every front-end feature intact. The site is entirely web-based and relies on jQuery for DOM manipulation, several $.ajax calls and client-side validation embedded throughout aspx pages and separate .js files.
Your task is to:
• Swap in the 3.7.4 library and map files.
• Scan all custom scripts, master pages and user controls, replacing deprecated APIs (.live, .bind, $.browser, etc.) with supported equivalents or light polyfills where needed.
• Review each legacy plugin; upgrade or replace anything that breaks under 3.x and document what changed.
• Build and test inside Visual Studio, ensuring the solution compiles, loads without console errors and that existing workflows behave exactly as before in Chrome, Edge and Firefox.
• Supply a concise migration report summarising code changes and any follow-up recommendations.
I will provide a Git branch of the project and will handle server deployment once the branch is merged. Please share relevant migration experience and an estimated timeline so we can get started right away.
