Deliverable
1. A printed report that:
• Briefly describes the target group, their roles, & critical types of information they need to access
• Describes in detail the processes by which the group obtain critical types of information
• Describes in detail the content of an introductory IL session for new members of the group
Guide to report format
Your report should be word processed on A4 plain paper, Arial 12-point font, double-spaced with pagination
(centered at bottom of page) & justified. Include text on both sides of the page. Include a table of contents
Introduction - brief introduction outlining the issues that your report will address, & issues that are outside its
scope
Learning objectives
At the end of this exercise you should be able to:
• Identify the information requirements of a specific group of people, eg: professional group; interest group;
demographic group etc with specific needs etc
• Identify critical processes that the target group undertakes to obtain information
• Draft an introductory information literacy program for new members of the target group
