Airline Modernization Program Planning
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
Need to build a multi year baseline wave plan for a modernization program for airlines client. We have manually collected start and end dates from the App portfolio teams(4 portfolios Ops, Customer and Commercial, Technology and last one is People and Finance portfolio).
The application and its dependencies are maintained in LeanIX. There’s very little dependencies data for apps.
Here’s the situation
We only have business criticality, 6R disposition for applications and app modernization end dates are not driven by program team..so we as a program team do not have the autonomy. We can only work with app teams so in this case how should I build initial baseline plan and does app wave groups make sense? Program team has collected start and end dates of app modernization from app teams and program team has been provided with product retirement dates by architects. In this case, products are IT components that apps are dependent on like ibm mq, tivoli or tibco ems or oracle exadata etc.
Now provide me best way to build an initial baseline plan. If possible I would still like to build waves that can show app sequencing but app modernization end dates should not be driven by program team
