SPIKE: Mobile browser based Speech Recognition for Safari on iOS
Budget: £18 – £36 GBP
We are looking to prove out SpeechRecognition in the browser and would like to prove it specifically in Safari on iOS.
This task must be time boxed to 2 day.
The following functionality is required
- Auto start (although this can be trigger from a button)
- Auto stop - after the browser has detected no more speech.
- Supported on iphone 7 onwards and iOS 14.5+
- Ideally this will be written in a sample React app but React not essential.
We ideally would like to use the following framework which has limited support on iOS so polyfills maybe required.
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/SpeechRecognition
Other suggestions will also be considered if people have deep experience in related frameworks and technologies.
