Looking for Mobile Application Developer for iOS MVP

Job Summary

We are an early stage startup that is disrupting the high-end online auction space. We are seeking a full-stack mobile developer with an interest in joining a startup team to lead the development of our MVP.

Job Requirements

-Prior experience developing mobile applications for iOS
-Knowledge in Swift, Flutter, React Native, C# or equivalent is desirable but other technologies are acceptable if you can meet our requirements (eg .NET core XAMARIN).
-Experience working in Agile methodology is beneficial but not required.
-Ability to produce clean, easy to follow, reusable and high-performance code is required.
-Some understanding of how to build secure software.
-Good knowledge of Quality Assurance and how to properly test the app.
-Knowledge of UI/UX design is a big plus but we will provide dynamic wireframes.
-The candidate should speak and write in English with working proficiency.

Job Description

-Work with our team to match appropriate technologies with our business objectives and software requirements.
-You will be tasked with developing a fully functional, market-ready iOS MVP.
-Build a web landing page directing new users to download the app.
-Ensure high quality application performance through testing and QA.
-Post-deployment support available for an agreed upon duration of time.


Key MVP Functionality

Required features for MVP:

-Functional iOS app available for download from the App Store

-Log-in page/create an account for both bidders and sellers

-Main auction landing page. Open to all viewers who access the auction link. Those that have bidder accounts and the app downloaded will be redirected to the app. New users without the app will be redirected to the web version of the auction landing page, where they will then be prompted to download the app and create an account to start bidding.

-Live bidding functionality that updates the auction web landing page as well as the application auction page for all users.

-Bidder side of the app where bidders can view a dashboard that shows current auctions they are following or have previously bid on. It will also be the place winning bidders reference for next steps/information to receive their item.

-We need to be able to accept and authorize the credit/debit cards of bidders to ensure validity. This will just be to take deposits if the bidder wins the auction. The actual final payment will be handed separately once the winning bidder is invoiced.

-Auction setup section. Sellers must be able to input general information, auction start/end date, customize bidding settings, upload photos and videos etc which will create the auction landing page.

-Sellers should also have a basic dashboard where they can view their current auctions, previous auctions and create new auctions from. They will also be able to manage the shipment of the item to the winning bidder from their dashboard.

-Push notification functionality to send to bidders when they have been outbid, reminders for upcoming auctions etc.

-Settings pages for both the sellers and bidders.

-Two factor authentication using telephone number for log in.



Desired features but not 100% required for MVP:

-Customer support live chat available to users of the application.

-In-app chatting functionality only between people with bidder accounts.

Timeframe

-Our ideal MVP development time should be around 1 month maximum. However, we may accept a slightly longer development time if needed.
