SafetySkills.com is a leading online safety training company offering over 800 unique interactive training courses hosted on a fully featured learning and EHS management platform. Our platform is web-based and we offer a progressive web app (PWA) for mobile devices that can be downloaded from our website.
While we do currently support a progressive web app that our customers can download from our website, we do have a requirement for a native app that can be downloaded from the Apple and Android App Stores.
It seems that our customers are more comfortable downloading the application from the app stores. While we have promoted the PWA version, we have now surmised that it would be easier to just have a presence on the prevailing app stores.
Therefore, we see the minimally viable product (MVP) features for the native app would be limited in that it would simply connect our platforms API and allow users to access their assigned training courses. The native app would focus on user authentication based on account ID, username, and password and then frame our PWA after authentication.
The user experience would be seamless and they would essentially would have access to all aspects that the PWA provides. But from the user perspective, they download the app from the store, login and then have full system access in a mobile optimized view.
