BLE phone App: sensor data sent to phone with notifications for Android and iOS (MVP )
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
Develop a custom cross-platform BLE App that connects to an OEM temperature and humidity beacon (SDK provided), to display the temperature and humidity, for Android and iOS. This is a minimal viable product at this stage. We just want it to work, it doesn't have to be the most beautiful refined app in the world.
We are looking for a talented mobile phone creator to develop and build a mobile phone app that will connect to the sensor module by scanning for BLE devices, connection, and then receiving the data packets into an easy to read UI on the phone.
The app will have the following 4 pillars:
- Onboarding - sign-up and onboard the user/purchaser. Google and Facebook signup logins and workflows
- Connecting to the sensor device and receiving data from the sensor in a UI.
- UI/UX: Easy to read, colour coded and user-controlled threshold notifications & settings. It will use the person's geo-location to download other weather data such as air quality, UV and pollen-count info to also be displayed.
- Terms & Conditions, Help Centre etc
- backend web-portal to analyse data (non-user access, company access only)
Ideally, the additional data will come from open-web data access, such as OpenWeather, and the data storage analysis will use Google CDN. Open to suggestions from experience and professional delivery.
Some items we have thought of but there may be more:
automatic data refresh frequency
multiple users connect to the one beacon
notifications:
- temperature thresholds reached
- out of range
- battery status
temperature threshold control/setup
Celcius & Fahrenheit
The interface layout and design
display of temperature
display of humidity
display of comfort index: DI=0.8T+0.01H(0.99T-14.3)+46.3]
local UV
local pollen-count
connection status
settings
battery status
FAQ page
info page
profile sign-up (demographics)
privacy
pairing
phone as a gateway to the cloud for data storage & data analysis by the company
future consideration:
- web portal to see real-time temperature & humidity by user
- Prototyping
- Development
- Testing
- Deployment
