Remote iPhone Control via WebSocket
Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR
We are looking for a skilled freelancer with extensive experience in applications that enable remote control of an iPhone through WebSocket via a website from anywhere in the world. The project will leverage Appium/WebDriverAgent to achieve this functionality.
Project Requirements:
Develop a small control panel that allows adding multiple iPhones and managing user access to them.
Ensure that users can interact with the iPhones remotely without needing physical access to the devices.
The freelancer must own at least one iPhone for testing purposes.
We will provide a reference video of an existing solution that aligns with our requirements.
Consider existing projects like ControlFloor, which performed a similar function but is now outdated and unsupported.
Technical Overview:
From our research, similar implementations use the go-ios library to:
Connect to the iPhone.
Deploy signed applications.
Run apps that enable remote interaction.
Useful Resources for the Project:
GO-IOS: (https://github.com/danielpaulus/go-ios)
Facilitates tunneling between an iPhone and a computer.
Allows app installation and execution, enabling automation for streaming.
WebDriverAgent (Appium): (https://github.com/appium/WebDriverAgent)
A key component for automating iOS devices.
ControlFloor (Outdated): (https://github.com/dryark/controlfloor)
A system that previously handled remote iPhone control but has not been maintained for two years.
CFAgent (Fork of WebDriverAgent for ControlFloor): (https://github.com/dryark/ControlFloorAgent)
Was used to connect iPhones to ControlFloor.
Vidstream: (https://github.com/dryark/ios_remote_provider)
Used to create a video stream of the iPhone’s screen.
Objective:
The goal is to replicate an existing solution for personal use with our own devices. The freelancer will need to integrate the tools mentioned above to create a seamless and reliable system.
If you are experienced in iOS automation, WebSockets, and remote device control, we would love to hear from you!
