Origins AR: Interactive Historical Exploration App

I'm developing an iOS mobile app, Origins AR, which integrates Augmented Reality (AR) to allow users to uncover historical photographs and narratives at real-world locations. This app will enable users to journey through towns and landscapes via their camera, unveiling floating images of the past. Each image is complemented by a story, quote, or trivia to enrich the experience.

- Launch a functional and engaging AR experience for Mornington Peninsula
- Enable drag-and-drop historical content management by Origins team
- Create an immersive, visual connection between past and present
- Provide a foundation for future growth (additional features, regions, and platforms)

Core Features:
AR Camera View
- Live camera mode with historical photo overlays
- ARKit-based geo-anchored placement using GPS + basic surface detection
- Tap for Story Panel
- Tap on AR image to reveal short historical blurb or quote
- Optional swipe for additional story or image comparison

Map Explorer View
- Interactive map with pins for all AR locations in the Mornington Peninsula
- Tap a pin to view location details or jump to AR camera view

Apple Sign-In Integration
- Single-tap Apple ID sign-in
- Optional login to access bookmarked/favourite locations (basic user profile)

Content Management System (Admin Only)
- Simple web-based portal
- Drag-and-drop image upload
- Manual geotagging (pin drop on map)
- Text input for stories, quotes, and metadata (e.g. year, suburb, category)

Paid Guided Tours (In-App Purchase)
- Users can purchase curated, prebuilt tour experiences for a small fee
- Tours guide users through specific routes with location-based stops
- Each stop includes an AR image, narration (audio overlay), and optional additional info
- Clean, intuitive backend interface for creating and managing tours
- Ability to set route order, upload audio, and attach bonus content (e.g. archival documents, side stories)

Design Aesthetic:
- Clean, minimalist UI
- Emphasis on the imagery
- Light interface overlays to avoid blocking AR view
- System font and typography

Ideal Candidates Should:
- Have strong experience in iOS app development and AR technology.
- Possess skills in interactive design and mapping integration.
- Have a keen understanding and appreciation for historical content and visual storytelling.

Please note, I already possess the necessary historical photos. Your role will primarily involve the app development, CMS and integrating the AR component.
