Seeking a senior swift dev for an established mobile shopping app (12+ yrs on app store). Would be working with an extremely qualified senior Android developer to synch both builds concurrently with regards to functionality. 100% Telecommute. You would be your own boss as long as daily progress is tracked. 40hrs per week.
The functionality within the app is complex, assume it deals with anything and everything swift can provide. For instance, artificial intelligence is part of the roadmap. The app has various different data API feeds ingested from our server - some deal with nearby list of stores/addresses. Some deal with product content. The app uses web scraping to create a JSON list, so the ability to understand that aspect is needed. It relies upon notifications, tokens for security, encryption, alot of analytics tracking to Firebase and other analytics platforms, 3rd party SDK's for ads and functionality, the list goes on.. It really is a well rounded, all encompassing product. That said, it will never bore you either. You can pick and choose tasks if the mood strikes you that week and our priorities are otherwise low.
I am very laid back and flexible but I do expect progress to be maintained without a babysitter, honesty is key and you will LOVE being a part of this very small & intimate team. We use Github and I am able to monitor commits, see changes in codebase etc as one means of tracking. We also are online with Slack chat throughout the day. Trying to utilize Trello for progress management. Always open and listen to your feedback if something is not ideal to your expectations.
This is a popular and professionally produced mobile app that puts UI/UX first. Maintaining this professionalism is critical and as such we would be committing to a 3 month trial with the selected freelancer. Demonstrating your strength with team communication and productivity output is the main goal of these first 90 days. Thereafter we'd proceed to commit permanent full-time 40 hours/week (8hr x 5 days).
