Help with Swift or Objective C and NativeScript v8

We have a simple ios app with 2 views, first view has a button which starts the second view. In the second view we want to have a NativeScript v8 app (https://nativescript.org/). The NativeScript app works fine when there is no other view and it gets control directly at the start but when we call the NativeScript from the second view it is not starting. We need help with how to properly call the NativeScript app, the project has nativescript framework. We are trying to achieve the same thing as in this blog (https://blog.nativescript.org/embedding-nativescript-in-an-existing-ios-app/), but it is not working because that is using a very old NS version. Please reach out if you know how to get the app in the demo to work.
