iOS Student AI Reminder Bot
Budget: $10 – $1,000 USD
I’m building an AI-powered study companion exclusively for iPhone. The idea is simple: students should be able to message the bot in plain language—“I have a chemistry test in two weeks”—and instantly have that date stored, organized by class, and followed up with push-notification and SMS reminders at smart intervals.
Core functions I need engineered:
• Conversational task capture: natural-language understanding that recognises dates, subjects, homework details, and personal to-dos from a single text thread.
• Smart scheduling & recall: the student can ask, “What’s coming up in English?” and receive an accurate, ordered list of tests, quizzes, homework, and any ad-hoc tasks.
• Dual reminder channels: timely push notifications inside the iOS app plus SMS fallback for critical alerts.
• Homework assistance: context-aware suggestions or explanations when a student asks for help in the exact subject they’re working on (you can leverage an open-AI endpoint or similar).
• Clean, student-friendly UI native to iOS, built in Swift / SwiftUI, with iCloud or a lightweight backend for data persistence.
Acceptance criteria:
1. Adding a task via chat instantly shows in the class timeline.
2. Push and SMS reminders trigger at the correct intervals without duplication.
3. “What’s due?” queries return accurate, complete results each time.
4. Homework help responses stay on-topic and cite sources where relevant.
If you’ve shipped NLP-based iOS apps before or integrated Twilio for SMS, you’ll probably enjoy this build. Let me know how you’d structure the architecture and any libraries or frameworks you favour so we can get started right away.
