iOS App Development for Personal Growth -- 2
Budget: £1,500 – £3,000 GBP
FF — MVP Project Scope For Developers
Product Vision
Our app is a personal growth and goal-setting app with a clean, motivating, and gamified experience. We want the visual style and user experience to draw inspiration from:
* Duolingo (simple, playful, rewarding UI)
* Chess.com (clear progression, streaks, and skill development feel)
Our goal is to launch an iOS MVP first.
Core Experience
* User signup and authentication
* Visual, interactive onboarding questionnaire (multiple-choice + short input)
* Automatically generated goals based on questionnaire responses
* Goal profile types and classification
* 1-year goal with milestones
* Inspirational 3-year and 5-year goals (read-only)
* Weekly task breakdown and task generation
AI-Powered Reflections (Important MVP Feature)
A key part of the app's foundation. Users can:
* Write reflections/journal entries
* Receive simple, intuitive AI-generated insights
* Get personalised prompts connected to their goals
* See patterns or suggestions over time
This should feel lightweight, helpful, and central to the user experience.
Dashboard & Progress
* Main dashboard
* Progress tracking rings
* Streak counter
* Weekly task checklist
* Task completion features
Social Features
* Invite friends via link or code
* Follow friends
* View friends’ streaks and progress
* Basic leaderboard
* Per-goal privacy settings: Public / Friends Only / Private
Calendar Integration
* Ability to push weekly tasks to external calendars
* Smart placement of tasks within preferred time windows
* Google Calendar connection
* Apple Calendar connection
* ICS export option
* Calendar reminders
Sharing & Growth
* Shareable milestone/goal completion cards
* Auto-generated captions
* LinkedIn sharing support
Admin Console
* Web-based admin dashboard
* Ability to edit/manage questions
* Ability to manage templates
* Basic usage statistics
General Notes
* This is an MVP and we’re open-minded about how to build it.
* We are not technical, so we welcome guidance on the best approach for the MVP.
* The full app is expected to grow into future versions (v2, v3, v4…), and continued work may be available — but we are not committing to anything beyond this MVP for now.
