I want to launch a sleek, high-performance editor for both iOS and Android that empowers users to produce studio-quality visuals straight from their phones. The interface must feel instantly familiar—pinch, drag, and tap gestures flowing naturally—yet hide an impressive amount of power under the hood.
Core editing power
The app has to nail three capabilities from day one:
• Advanced filters and effects
• Precise cutting and trimming
• Layer-based editing
Each function should respond in real time, even on mid-range devices, so efficient rendering pipelines (Metal, OpenGL ES, or similar) and smart memory management are critical. FFmpeg or comparable libraries are welcome for codec handling, but final binaries must remain lightweight.
Scope of work
• Design and build native or cross-platform code that delivers identical toolsets on iOS and Android.
• Implement an intuitive workspace with drag-and-drop layer stacking, keyframe timelines for video, and one-tap photo adjustments.
• Embed export presets for common social platforms (4K, 1080p, square, stories) while keeping full manual control available.
• Polish onboarding screens; in-app tutorials or user guides are not required, so focus every spare pixel on the editor itself.
• Provide clean, well-commented source code, a short technical README, and signed test builds for both platforms.
Acceptance criteria
The build is complete when a user can open a 30-second 4K clip, add three effect layers, trim to 15 s with frame-accurate scrubbing, stack two photos on top, and export a visually lossless file in under one minute on a recent mid-tier device.
