Shelf Goods Real-Time Locator
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a single, easy-to-use mobile application that runs smoothly on both Android and iOS. Its sole, must-have function is to show staff exactly where any item is sitting on our shelves, and to refresh that position the moment the stock is moved. In other words, location mapping with true real-time updates is the heart of the project.
When a user opens the app, a clean floor-plan or aisle view appears. As soon as they select a product, the map highlights the precise bay, shelf, and slot. No manual refreshing should be necessary; I expect live pushes so every handset shows the latest layout at all times. Barcode scanning or text search may be explored later, but the first release must nail the mapping experience.
Please build a lightweight backend or integrate with ours (REST, WebSocket, or Firebase are all acceptable) to drive the live data, and deliver:
• Full source code for Android (Kotlin or Flutter/Dart) and iOS (Swift or the same Flutter project)
• Simple admin method—CLI or web—to update shelf coordinates and instantly propagate changes
• A brief setup guide so I can compile, deploy, and point the app to a new store database without hassle
Once the app pinpoints items reliably and updates in real time, the job is complete and we can discuss those optional extras.
