Our technology team is seeking a Senior iOS Developer. As part of our technology team, engineers use state of the art tools and technologies to deliver exceptional user experiences to our team members, customers and pets. iOS Developers are part of our services team responsible for building engaging and visually appealing iOS applications for our customers. Engineers must be located in and authorized to work in the US. We will not provide Visa sponsorship. Remote engineers must be able to work during regular US business hours; and must be able to regularly participate on calls via Zoom or Teams or available to other team members via Teams or Slack.
Responsibilities
* Develop engaging user experiences for iOS utilizing Swift
* Provide technical expertise in the feature design and act as a guard of code and product quality
* Utilize common architecture patterns to promote modularity, reusability, performance, and ease of testing
* Work in an agile development environment, maintaining user story and task status, t-shirt sizing
* Respond to bugs and support issues to ensure users are delighted to use our applications
* Conduct code reviews, create pull requests, respond to peer and manager feedback to improve source code, designs and deliverables
* Document software designs, objectives, and create and respond to RFCs in a shared collaboration environment such as Confluence
* Communicate on all open projects and give updates to both team members and Technology team staff
Required Skills
* 4+ years experience developing iOS applications
* 4+ years Swift
* 5+ years commercial software development
* Experience with iOS Frameworks such as Core Data, Apple's design principles and application interface guidelines, push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging
* Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning, consuming RESTful API's, automated testing
* Experience delivering, supporting, and enhancing applications with 1000+ users
* Learn quickly, self-starter, take direction well
* Exceptional troubleshooting skills, detail orientated
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Desired Skills
* Experience with SwiftUI
* Experience writing unit tests
* Experience in modern deployments through a CI/CD pipeline
* An understanding of the pet industry
