Senior Engineer to Launch App
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Project Description
Covero is an insurance app (Client + Agent portals) with the MVP already built. Our current developer is wiring Firebase, GitHub, and Google Play. We need a hands-on senior mobile engineer who has shipped production apps to take us from “works on my phone” to a clean public launch—and to act as a technical guide for a non-technical founder.
Insurance industry knowledge is a plus (not required).
What you’ll do
Launch readiness: stabilize builds, set versioning/app signing, configure Play Console tracks (Internal → Closed → Production), write a QA checklist and a roll-back plan.
Firebase setup & hardening: Auth, Firestore, Storage, Security Rules (multi-tenant RBAC), Cloud Functions (light), FCM Push, GA4 Analytics, Crashlytics.
GitHub hygiene & CI: private repo structure, branch/PR flow, README (build/run/release), GitHub Actions for signed test builds.
Store release ops: prepare listing assets (we’ll provide copy/screens), release notes, staged rollout, post-launch monitoring.
Security pass: ensure no public file links, strict role-scoped data (client/agent/admin), minimal audit logging plan.
Founder enablement: deliver a simple Runbook (“how we ship and monitor every time”).
(Nice) iOS parity plan: outline a TestFlight path/timeline for the next phase.
