Rootless iOS Fake Camera Tweak

Job ID: 40290387

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I want to swap the live camera feed on an older, jail-broken device (iOS 13–14 running Dopamine or a similar rootless setup) with a predefined asset so I can study how iOS handles media input. The tweak should let me point the system camera APIs to either:

• a single static image (JPEG or PNG)
• a looping video file (MP4)

Ideally I can drop the asset into a folder or set its path in a simple prefs bundle, then toggle between “live”, “image”, and “video” without rebooting. No need for App Store integration, entitlement trickery, or third-party service hooks—this stays strictly on-device for personal, non-commercial testing.

Deliverable
• Rootless .deb that installs cleanly on Dopamine
• Preference pane (or command-line flag) to choose Image / Video / Live
• Basic documentation outlining install steps and any sandbox considerations

Acceptance
• Camera-using apps receive the selected JPEG, PNG, or looping MP4 as if it were the rear camera feed
• Switching sources works without crashes or unsafe permissions
• Uninstall returns camera behavior to stock

Timeline, milestones, and an NDA are all open for discussion. Let’s keep it concise, safe, and educational.
