Proximity Alert Rescue App
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a complete iOS + Android application that can quickly rally nearby assistance when an elderly person, individual with a cognitive condition, or pet goes missing. The core workflow is straightforward:
• A missing case is created with its last known GPS co-ordinates.
• The app instantly pushes a notification—but only to users located inside a 1-kilometre radius of that point.
• Recipients open the alert, view the location on Google Maps, and can decide whether to help.
Scope of work
– Build a clean, intuitive interface for the single role we are starting with: General User.
– Implement phone-number verification as the sole authentication method (SMS OTP preferred).
– Integrate Google Maps SDK for displaying markers, distances and simple turn-by-turn directions.
– Set up a reliable geofencing / proximity filter so alerts are dispatched exclusively to devices within 1 km of the stored coordinates.
– Configure push notifications for both APNs (iOS) and FCM (Android).
– Provide lightweight in-app settings so users can pause alerts, manage location permissions and delete their account.
Deliverables
1. Production-ready iOS and Android builds, signed and ready for App Store / Google Play submission.
2. Full, well-commented source code (native Swift/Kotlin or cross-platform Flutter/React Native—your call as long as performance remains smooth).
3. Deployment guide covering Firebase, notification keys and any third-party services used.
4. One brief hand-off session to walk me through the code structure and release process.

– Only devices physically located inside the 1 km geofence receive a push; easy to demonstrate with a GPS spoof in staging.
– SMS verification must block access until the code is confirmed.
– Map loads in under two seconds on a mid-range phone and directions behave consistently.
