Optimize iOS App Loading Speed
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
The current build of my iOS app opens noticeably slower than it should, and that single issue is hurting the overall user experience. I need an experienced iOS engineer to zero-in on the root causes, streamline the launch sequence, and deliver measurable gains in raw loading time.
What you will be doing
• Profile the project with Xcode Instruments (Time Profiler, Launch Time, and any other tools you prefer) to identify bottlenecks in startup code, heavy asset decoding, blocking network calls, or mis-configured Core Data operations.
• Refactor, defer, or cache expensive tasks so the first screen becomes visible as quickly as possible, while keeping code readability intact.
• Supply before-and-after metrics (cold and warm launch) captured on at least one recent iPhone running the latest iOS release.
Acceptance criteria
1. Cold launch time reduced and verified by Instruments trace.
2. No new crashes, warnings, or regressions introduced.
3. A concise change log summarising tweaks and the reasoning behind them.
The codebase is under Git, so I will add you as a collaborator; work can happen on a separate branch and we can merge after review. If your optimisation touches build settings, Info.plist entries, or asset pipelines, please document that clearly.
