Native iOS App Developer Needed for Baby Skincare Safety Platform - Swift/SwiftUI
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We are looking for an experienced native iOS developer to build a production-ready iPhone app for a baby skincare safety platform.
The product helps parents scan or search baby skincare products and understand ingredient safety, risk factors, and product scores in a simple, trustworthy way. We already have a web MVP built with Lovable and a small backend that needs to be migrated into a dedicated Supabase project before building the iOS app.
This must be a 100% native iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI. We do not want React Native, Flutter, Expo, Capacitor, Ionic, or any cross-platform framework.
Main scope:
・Migrate current Lovable Cloud backend to a dedicated Supabase project
・Review and clean existing database schema
・Set up Supabase Auth and RLS policies properly
・Prepare backend for iOS usage
・Build native Swift/SwiftUI iOS app
・Barcode scanner using AVFoundation
・Manual product search and lookup
・Product detail page with safety score, risk dimensions, flagged ingredients, sources, and explanation
・User onboarding with baby age range selection
・Email/password authentication
・Sign in with Apple before App Store submission
・Saved products / favorites
・Scan history
・Profile and settings screen
・Free user limit and premium paywall
・StoreKit 2 subscription setup
・TestFlight build and App Store submission support
Current backend context:
・6 tables: products, ingredient_rules, profiles, saved_products, scans, user_roles
・Small dataset, around 263 rows
・3 test users only, no production users
・No storage buckets currently used
・No edge functions currently deployed
・No webhooks currently active
・Current scoring logic is in React/TypeScript frontend
・Subscription is currently mock only
・Apple login is not implemented yet
Important technical requirements:
・Pure Swift + SwiftUI
・AVFoundation for barcode scanning
・Supabase Swift SDK
・StoreKit 2 for subscriptions
・Clean architecture and maintainable code
・App Store compliant implementation
・Good handling of “barcode not found” cases
・Clear user experience for parents, not overly technical screens
Ideal developer:
・Strong experience with native iOS apps
・Comfortable with Supabase and backend migration
・Experience with App Store/TestFlight release process
・Experience with subscription apps using StoreKit 2
・Understands privacy, safety wording, and App Store review sensitivity
・Can work independently and communicate clearly
