I’m ready to roll out a full-featured ride-hailing service for my town, offering passengers the seamless experience they know from Bolt or Uber while keeping everything locally focused. The project covers two customer-facing mobile apps—one for riders and one for drivers—released on both iOS and Android, plus an intuitive web-based admin panel for day-to-day operations.
Core workflow
• Riders open the app, pinpoint their pickup, view real-time driver locations on an interactive map, choose a vehicle type, confirm the fare, and track the journey turn-by-turn until drop-off.
• Payments happen in-app through major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a wallet balance, with automatic fare calculation and digital receipts.
• At the end of every trip both parties can leave a rating and written review; these scores feed into driver and rider profiles for quality control.
• Drivers receive requests, accept or decline in a set time, navigate with integrated GPS, and see earnings in an easy dashboard.
• From the admin panel I can onboard or suspend drivers, adjust fare rules, run promos, review trip histories, and export financial reports.
Key requirements
– Native or high-performance cross-platform codebase that passes App Store and Play Store guidelines.
– Real-time location and socket communication for live tracking.
– Secure payment gateway integration compliant with PCI standards.
– Scalable backend (Firebase, AWS, or similar) with REST or GraphQL APIs.
– Modular architecture so new features—carpooling, scheduled rides—can be added later.
