OS-Level Native App Specialist

Job ID: 40153927

Budget: £100 – £1,000 GBP

I need someone who can work directly with the native layers of both Android and iOS rather than staying in the usual app sandbox. The goal is to implement core OS modifications that will hook into system services and expose new functionality to an app-side UI later on.

It is simple functionality that I am after, but it can only be achieved by digging very deep into the OS.

At this stage I can provide a verbal walkthrough of what the feature set should achieve; there are no formal wireframes or mock-ups yet, so you will need to translate that explanation into a clear technical design before we move into coding. Expect to deal with Android NDK / AOSP components on one side and low-level Swift ⁄ Objective-C frameworks on the other, plus whatever entitlements or provisioning profiles Apple requires for system-extension style work.

Deliverables I expect:
• A short architectural document outlining how you will modify or extend each OS and how the changes remain stable across versions.
• A proof-of-concept build for both Android and iOS that demonstrates the core modification working on real hardware.
• Source code, build scripts, and any custom configuration needed so I can compile and run the same result in my own environment.

If you thrive on digging deep into kernel-level calls, private APIs, and system daemons, let’s talk.

NOTE: Please, only bid if you possess very real and deep knowledge in the OS core for Android and iOS. If you have only made a few UI apps so far, please do not waste my time bidding. Thanks
