Instagram-Style Android & iOS App
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m building a clean, Instagram-style application that runs natively on both Android and iOS. The must-have feature for version 1 is a smooth photo and video feed where users can capture or upload media, add a caption, and publish instantly. Each user will have a basic profile they can tweak—profile photo, username, and short bio—enough to feel personal without turning into a full theme editor.
Messaging and Stories aren’t required right now, but I’d like the code structured so those modules can be added later without a rewrite. Feel free to propose React Native, Flutter, Kotlin + Swift, or another modern stack as long as it ships fast, looks premium, and scales. A SaaS backend such as Firebase or Supabase is fine, or you can pitch a lightweight custom REST/GraphQL service if it keeps real-time feeds snappy and uploads resilient on spotty networks.
Deliverables
• Full source code for both platforms (single or separate codebases).
• Internal-testing builds on TestFlight and Google Play Console.
• Setup & handover doc explaining environment, build steps, and how future features can slot in.
Acceptance criteria
• Users can sign up, edit a basic profile, post photos/videos, and browse an infinite scroll feed.
• Media uploads handle poor connectivity gracefully and playback is smooth.
• UI follows platform guidelines (Material 3 on Android, SwiftUI/HIG on iOS) and passes basic accessibility checks.
If you’ve shipped something similar, share a link or demo and outline the timeline you’d need from kickoff to test build.
