Dark Mode Offline Music App
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I need a complete iOS and Android music application focused on two core experiences: letting users create their own playlists and keeping those songs available offline. Instead of streaming from a fixed catalogue, the app will revolve around a user-uploaded library, so every screen—from the import flow to playback—must be designed with personal files in mind.
My visual preference is a polished dark-mode interface. Think clean typography, intuitive gestures and subtle accent colours that won’t distract during nighttime listening.
Scope of work
• Build native or cross-platform code that runs smoothly on both iOS and Android. I’m open to Swift/ Kotlin, Flutter, React Native or another modern stack if you can justify its benefits.
• Implement secure local storage and file-system access for the offline feature, with progress indicators while tracks are being downloaded or moved.
• Playlist management: add, reorder, rename and delete playlists through simple drag-and-drop interactions.
• Responsive audio player with background playback, lock-screen controls and Bluetooth headset support.
• Dark-mode UI/UX, including splash, onboarding and settings screens.
Deliverables
1. Source code in a public or private Git repo
2. Compilable builds for TestFlight and Google Play Internal Testing
3. Brief setup document so another developer can run the project locally
4. One rounds of minor revisions after initial hand-off
Acceptance criteria
• All listed features work offline with no crashes after 30 minutes of continuous playback.
• Uploads accept at least MP3, AAC and WAV.
• UI follows the provided dark-mode mock-ups and passes basic accessibility checks (minimum contrast ratio 4.5:1).
If this fits your skill set and you can commit to a clear development timeline, I’d love to see recent examples of similar media apps you’ve shipped and hear your approach to handling large local libraries.
