Investigative Family Documentary Filmmaker

I am looking for an experienced and empathetic Documentary Filmmaker or Investigative Journalist to produce a narrative-driven film based on a complex family history. The project involves documenting my wife’s background, our current family dynamics, and the impact on my 7-year-old daughter.
This is a sensitive, investigative project that requires someone capable of transforming personal records, interviews, and real-life situations into a compelling cinematic narrative.
Responsibilities:
Story Architecture: Collaborating to build a narrative arc from personal history and current events.
Investigative Research: Helping to verify facts and gather necessary documentation.
Interviewing: Conducting sensitive interviews with family members and relevant parties.
Filming & Editing: Full-scale production, including high-quality B-roll and professional post-production (editing, sound design, and color grading).
What I’m Looking For:
A portfolio that demonstrates experience in Investigative Documentaries or Personal Narratives.
High technical proficiency in cinematography and non-linear editing.
Strict Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive personal information with absolute discretion. (A Non-Disclosure Agreement - NDA will be required).
Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
