Windows POS Inventory System

Job ID: 39762210

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

Our women’s clothing boutique needs a dedicated Windows desktop application that unifies point-of-sale and back-office inventory tasks in one place. The primary goal is to see exactly what is on the racks at any moment, ring up in-store purchases quickly, and keep a clear picture of sales trends and customer activity without relying on a web connection.

Core workflow
• Inventory tracking – add new SKUs, define sizes-colors, adjust stock from sales or manual counts, and receive automatic low-stock alerts.
• Sales reporting – daily register totals, item-level performance, returns, and a clean export to Excel or CSV for our accountant.
• Customer management – basic profiles, purchase history, and loyalty points so we can tailor promotions.

Technical scope
• Runs natively on Windows 10/11 (no web browser wrapper).
• Single-store environment, but the design should allow multi-store expansion later.
• Local database is fine (SQLite, SQL Server Express, or similar); cloud sync can be a future phase.
• Receipt printing to a standard USB thermal printer and barcode scanning through a USB scanner.
• Intuitive, boutique-friendly interface—staff should learn it in minutes.

Deliverables
1. Compiled installer and all source code.
2. Setup guide and a brief user manual (PDF).
3. Two weeks of post-deployment bug fixes.

Acceptance criteria
The system must add, sell, and adjust inventory without errors, generate end-of-day sales reports in under 10 seconds, and store at least 5,000 product records with stable performance on a typical retail PC (i5, 8 GB RAM).

If you have prior experience with POS builds in .NET, JavaFX, or Electron-desktop frameworks, mention it when you send the proposal, along with a sample screenshot or demo video link.
