Remote Inventory Data Assistant
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
You will keep our inventory information accurate, up-to-date, and easy for the rest of the team to understand. The core of the job is straightforward: enter incoming stock numbers, reconcile them against supplier slips, and maintain tidy digital records we can rely on at a moment’s notice. I expect meticulous data entry and consistent record-keeping rather than broad administrative coverage—no calendar juggling or inbox triage here.
All data you touch relates to inventory levels, part numbers, and reorder points. At present we house those records in Microsoft Word templates; if that tool feels limiting to you, feel free to suggest a better workflow—experience with Excel, a dedicated inventory management platform, or an Access database would certainly be welcomed, though not required.
Because our operation is fully remote, clear communication is vital. I’ll provide daily raw counts through email; you return a clean, verified file by the agreed deadline. A quick end-of-week summary highlighting discrepancies or low-stock items rounds out the routine.
Deliverables I need from you
• Daily updated inventory file saved to our shared drive
• Weekly variance report with notes on any discrepancies
Accuracy, reliability, and an eye for detail will make you successful here, and flexible scheduling lets you choose the hours that suit you—as long as deadlines are met. If that sounds like a good fit, I’m looking forward to working together.
