Job Overview

We are looking for a commercially intelligent freelancer to manage inventory reordering decisions for a retail business.

This is not a data-entry role.
The work requires analysis, judgement, and accuracy, using Excel and email.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reordering & Stock Planning (Core Task)

Review stock data in Excel

Decide:

What items need reordering

When to reorder

How much to reorder


Avoid:

Over-ordering

Dead stock

Missed fast-moving items


Prepare clear purchase requirement sheets

2. Supplier Communication

Email suppliers to:

Request quotes

Confirm prices

Check availability


Maintain supplier price comparisons in Excel

3. Pricing & Competitor Comparison

Compare our prices with major competitors’ websites

Verify product models and specifications carefully

Update pricing data accurately

Support shelf label pricing preparation

Tools & Skills Required (Must-Have)

Strong Excel skills (filters, formulas, comparisons)

Comfortable working with numbers and calculations

Good written English for professional emails

High attention to detail

Ability to work independently

Experience Required

Previous experience in inventory management, procurement, or retail operations

Experience working with stock, pricing, or purchase planning

Tally experience is a plus (not mandatory)
