Inventory Management Software Development

I need a straightforward piece of business-oriented software focused solely on inventory management. The goal is to streamline stock tracking, reorder alerts, and basic reporting so our team can see, at a glance, what’s on hand and what needs replenishing.

Scope of work
• Build a desktop or web-based application—whichever stacks you are most comfortable proving efficiently.
• Implement core inventory functions: item entry, quantity adjustments, automatic low-stock notifications, and exportable reports (CSV or PDF).
• Create a clean, intuitive interface that any non-technical staff member can navigate within minutes.
• Ensure the codebase is well-documented so in-house developers can extend the tool later, perhaps adding CRM or accounting hooks down the road.

Tech is flexible, but I’m already running a PostgreSQL instance and would prefer leveraging it; however, I’m open to alternatives if you can justify performance or maintenance gains.

Acceptance criteria
— A compiled executable or deployable package with installation instructions.
— Source code in a version-controlled repository (Git preferred).
— A short user guide covering everyday tasks and administrative setup.
— Successful demonstration with at least 500 sample SKUs to verify speed and accuracy.
