Digital Distribution Manager – Nile Cruise (Remote / Contract)
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Freelance / Contract
Remote
Start: Immediate
Duration: 3–6 months (with potential long-term collaboration)
Project Overview
We are a single-asset Nile Cruise operator building a modern, cloud-first reservation and distribution ecosystem from scratch.
We are looking for an experienced Digital Distribution Manager who can set up, connect, and commercially manage our full digital distribution stack across OTAs, tour marketplaces, and global B2B wholesalers.
This is a hands-on “builder” role, not an operational support role. You will own the digital shelf end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
Phase 1: Greenfield Setup
Lead the setup and configuration of a cloud-based Central Reservation System (e.g. Sriggle or similar).
Register and verify new supplier accounts with:
Booking.com, Expedia
Hotelbeds, TBO
TourRadar, Viator (and similar)
Design inventory logic:
Cabin categories (standard cabins, suites)
Cruise itineraries as sellable products
Rate plans (B2B static, OTA dynamic, non-refundable)
Phase 2: Channel Manager & Connectivity
Select and configure a Channel Manager (RateGain, SiteMinder, YieldPlanet, etc.).
Map inventory accurately between CRS and all channels.
Conduct live booking and sync testing to ensure real-time availability.
Support API certification/listing with tour operator networks (e.g. iVector, Peakwork).
Phase 3: Commercial Listing Management
OTAs: Build hotel-style listings that clearly explain the cruise experience.
Tour Marketplaces: Create itinerary-based products with day-by-day programs, inclusions, exclusions, and fixed departures.
B2B Wholesalers: Load contracts, allotments, and rate supplements into extranets such as MaxiRoom.
Phase 4: Post-Launch Operations
Manage inventory controls (CTA, MinLOS, closed sailing dates).
Generate and distribute passenger manifests and rooming lists from the cloud system.
Monitor rate parity and support yield optimization across B2B and B2C channels.
Required Skills & Experience
4+ years in Hospitality Distribution, E-Commerce, or Revenue Management.
Proven experience building a distribution system from zero, not just managing an existing one.
Hands-on expertise with:
Channel Managers (RateGain, SiteMinder, YieldPlanet)
OTA extranets (Booking.com, Expedia)
Experience with tour marketplaces (TourRadar, Viator, Tripaneer) is a strong plus.
Familiarity with CRS / booking engines such as Sriggle, Juniper, or similar.
Strong understanding of converting cruise logistics into hotel-night logic.
Fluent English (written and spoken).
Who This Job Is For
Senior distribution consultants
Revenue or e-commerce managers with setup experience
Travel tech specialists who enjoy building systems
Professionals comfortable working independently with ownership
Who This Job Is NOT For
Junior channel managers
Candidates without system setup experience
General marketers without distribution expertise
How to Apply (Important)
Please include in your proposal:
Similar projects you built from scratch
CRS and channel managers you’ve personally configured
OTAs / wholesalers you have onboarded before
Your availability and estimated setup timeline
