Data Center Installation Engineer
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Inventory & Asset Management
Specialist to oversee inventory control, asset lifecycle tracking, and logistics within our data
center operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate stock levels, timely provisioning, and
compliance with internal and external audit requirements. The ideal candidate will bring deep
expertise in inventory systems, vendor coordination, and process optimization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead end-to-end inventory management for data center hardware, consumables, and
cabling supplies
• Maintain accurate records of all assets using CMDB and DCIM tools; ensure real-time
updates and reconciliation
• Develop and enforce inventory control procedures, including receiving, labeling, storing,
and issuing equipment
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to forecast demand and
manage stock levels
• Oversee periodic audits, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution
• Manage RMA processes and vendor returns for defective or end-of-life equipment
• Track hardware lifecycle from acquisition to decommissioning, ensuring compliance
with disposal policies
• Mentor junior inventory staff and provide training on best practices and tools
• Generate reports and dashboards for leadership on inventory KPIs, trends, and risks
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of experience in inventory or asset management, preferably in a data center or
IT environment
• Strong knowledge of inventory systems (e.g., ServiceNow, NetSuite, SAP) and DCIM
platforms
• Experience with IT hardware components including servers, network gear, and
structured cabling
• Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools; ability to analyze data and present actionable
insights
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Familiarity with ISO standards and audit compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 9001)
• Ability to lift and handle equipment up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Certifications such as ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Server+, or Certified Data Centre
Professional (CDCP)
• Experience with RFID/barcode tracking systems
• Knowledge of EU waste disposal and recycling regulations for IT assets
• Fluency in English and [local language if applicable]
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple sites
