Build MVP Finance Dashboard (QuickBooks → Looker Studio / Power BI)

Project Overview
We are a Canada-based bookkeeping and financial operations firm (Finmate) looking to hire a freelancer to build a client-facing finance dashboard (MVP).
This is not a full SaaS application and not a custom-coded platform.
We want a clean, professional dashboard that pulls data from QuickBooks Online (QBO) and presents key financial insights for SMB clients.

Dashboard Content
The dashboard should include:
Executive Overview
Revenue (MTD / YTD)
Net Profit (MTD / YTD)
Cash Balance
Accounts Receivable (total + aging)
Last updated timestamp
Charts & Visuals
Revenue vs Expenses trend (last 6–12 months)
Cash In vs Cash Out
AR aging summary
Detail Sections
Profit & Loss summary
Cash flow overview
AR / AP snapshot
Simple “Notes / Comments” section (can be sheet-based)
Technical Requirements
Data source: QuickBooks Online
Dashboard tool: Looker Studio or Power BI (freelancer may recommend)
Reusable template for multiple clients
View-only client access
Simple documentation for maintenance / refresh
What This Project Is NOT
No custom backend development
No mobile app
No AI or forecasting
No payment processing
No complex permissions system
This is a lean MVP dashboard, not a full fintech product.
Ideal Freelancer
Experience with QuickBooks Online
Strong skills in Looker Studio or Power BI
Has built financial or accounting dashboards
Understands SMB financial reporting
Practical, not over-engineered
