Ignite FMWF - Workforce and Talent videos

Job ID: 31191399

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce is seeking professional video production to support a new talent and workforce initiative, Ignite FMWF. The projected video demand will exceed our organizations capacity to complete these projects internally.

About Ignite FMWF
Ignite FMWF is a digital platform designed to be a comprehensive, streamlined and systematic approach to addressing our regional workforce and talent needs. Through an integrated system of awareness, exploration, training and connection, this initiative will serve as a key connector between employers and the current and future workforce in our region.

Video needs
A critical aspect of the platform will be numerous video career cards that aid in career exploration for students and job seekers. Our local businesses will identify key employees or positions they would like to highlight and share on the platform for job seekers. Below are guidelines and needs for a typical video career card, followed by expectations and the typical process:

• Conducting an interview with selected subjects regarding their career, training, schooling and more. Each interview will vary depending on the type of position, location of job, and types of responsibilities that person has. The subject will be asked roughly 10 – 15 questions.

• High quality audio, video and lighting equipment to capture the interview.

• Multiple cameras, to capture various angles of the subject during the interview.
Professional cinema cameras are not necessary. DSLR or mirrorless bodies have been successful.

• B-roll footage of the subject in their workplace environment, possibly performing tasks or showcasing certain aspects of their job.

• Light music overlay throughout entire video.

• Creating the narrative by editing the footage into a short and compelling story and experience.
Each video should be roughly 2 minutes to 2 minutes and 30 seconds in length.

The Chamber’s responsibilities and expectations
The Chamber is responsible for identifying businesses and interview subjects (employees), interview preparation, the location of the shoot and scheduling. The Chamber will also provide the questionnaire to be used in the video interview.

Hired video team’s responsibilities and expectations
The video team may use their creative expertise to move about the designated location to find the optimal setting for the interview(s). It is not expected that the hired team do any work or scouting prior to the shoot, outside of knowing the date, time and location.

It is expected that the video team will conduct an engaging interview with each subject, using the questionnaire provided by The Chamber to guide the interview. After completing the video shoot, depending on contract details, the hired team will either provide all gathered footage and audio to The Chamber, or the hired team will edit the footage and send the completed videos to The Chamber according to the deadline. It is not anticipated that there will be any requested changes to the final videos, as the clients are not guaranteed any revisions. However, The Chamber reserves the right to request additional edits if absolutely necessary.
