The Neuroscience of Spirituality for Healing Addiction

Examining the intersection between neuroscientific research on the positive benefits of spiritual practices for use as an approach to heal alcohol or substance use disorders. Existing research has strong evidence of brain health, reduction of depression and anxiety. Assistant must be graduate level knowledge of neuroscience with an eye toward high level of accuracy. Knowledge of brain function and circuitry as it relates to addiction important. Knowledge of neurobiology of spirituality (neurotheology) is helpful.
