I'm the founder of FakerAPI, a tool to generate fake/mock apis during the development process. I dropped the project a while ago, the domain has even expired, but I noticed I'm still getting traffic/impressions. Here are some stats of the last 90 days:
- 562 clicks
- 1.15k impressions
- 49.1% average CTR
- 1.4 average position
- The most searched query (about 90% of the traffic) is literally "fakerapi"
- 90% of the traffic is coming form India
To me, the tool doesn't have enough value to be paid for, and from experience, indians are careful with what they pay for. I'm trying to figure out if the project is worth reviving, if a potential pivot is possible or how I could turn this into profit.
The tool so far is very simple:
- Users can create models
- These models have a single endpoint that generate date based on their model (field types, names, etc)
- The user can export the models for given frameworks (Django, Next, etc...)
I'm looking for someone experienced in SaaS, capable of helping understand what I should going on forward.
