Title: Subject Matter Expert / AI Sector Evaluator – Marketing (1099 Contract, Remote US)
We are seeking experienced Marketing Subject Matter Experts to join an AI training and model development initiative as independent contractors.
This is a fully remote 1099 contract opportunity for an estimated 1–3 month engagement. The contractor will not be considered an employee and is responsible for their own taxes.
Role Overview
In this role, you will support AI model development by applying deep marketing expertise to:
Review AI-generated outputs
Improve dataset quality and structure
Define marketing workflows for AI training
Enhance model accuracy and relevance
Key Responsibilities
1. Domain Training & Annotation
Provide marketing expertise during AI model training
Label and validate datasets (campaign briefs, ad copy, KPIs, segmentation data, etc.)
Design realistic marketing scenarios (brand launches, A/B testing, campaigns)
2. Workflow Simulation & Mapping
Translate marketing workflows into structured AI training data
Identify key decision points, KPIs, and dependencies
Collaborate with ML teams on structured representations (taxonomies, datasets, knowledge graphs)
3. Model Evaluation & Feedback
Evaluate AI-generated marketing content for accuracy, tone, creativity, and brand fit
Provide structured improvement feedback
Define evaluation criteria (campaign effectiveness, relevance, consistency)
4. Strategic Collaboration
Support definition of AI-driven marketing use cases (segmentation, personalization, campaign optimization)
Identify opportunities for AI to improve marketing performance
Stay updated on marketing tools and generative AI trends
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
7–12 years of hands-on marketing experience
Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) preferred
Strong experience in:
Campaign strategy (digital, social, performance, brand marketing)
Marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo)
Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Looker, Power BI)
Customer segmentation, journey mapping, and content strategy
Media planning, A/B testing, and ROI optimization
Workflow Experience (Preferred)
Campaign lifecycle management (brief → execution → analysis)
Performance marketing (keyword research, bidding, conversion tracking)
CRM & marketing automation (lead scoring, email campaigns, personalization)
Content & social media strategy (content planning, influencer marketing, engagement analytics)
Data-driven marketing and dashboard analysis
Brand communication and storytelling
AI Tool Exposure (Preferred)
Experience using AI tools such as Gong or Chorus is a plus
